Common Questions
What shows do membership discounts apply to?
Discounts apply to Abbey-produced and co-produced shows — programming where Alberta Abbey is the organizer or a producing partner. They do not apply to third-party rentals, which make up the majority of our calendar.
When does my membership renew?
Memberships run for one year from the date of purchase and can be set to auto-renew or renewed manually. You’ll receive a reminder email before your renewal date.
Is my membership tax-deductible?
Alberta Abbey Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. A portion of your membership may be tax-deductible to the extent it exceeds the fair market value of benefits received. We’ll provide a receipt with your purchase. EIN: 47-3125530.
Can I upgrade my membership mid-year?
Yes — contact us at info@albertaabbey.org and we’ll upgrade your membership and pro-rate the difference. Your new benefits activate immediately.
How does early ticket access work?
Members receive an email with an exclusive access link and code before tickets go on sale to the public — typically 48–72 hours in advance for Abbey-produced shows.
What is the member appreciation event?
Once a year we host an evening exclusively for Supporter-level members and above — a casual gathering at the Abbey with food, drinks, and a chance to connect with staff, artists, and fellow members.
